With over 130 Makers in our collective you will always find something special at one of our events.
All of our Makers and Artists are based in Derbyshire and their work is original and largely handmade.
We have jewellers, woodworkers, artists, textile artists, photographers, potters, glass artists, gin distillers…… and the list goes on.
Kimberley MacDonald Exhibition
Kimberley is an artist and ceramicist living in Ashbourne, Derbyshire . Her paintings are usually worked in acrylic and feature brightly coloured modern folk florals. The ceramics are thrown on the potters wheel and are then decorated with the same colourful floral designs'
Derbyshire Open Arts
Join twelve of The Derbyshire Makers at Peak Village for Derbyshire Open Arts 2025.
We will have a mix of artists, ceramicists, silversmiths, glassmakers, woodworkers and textile artists - all exhibiting their stunning work and allowing you the chance to see and chat to the artists and maybe treat yourself to a piece of art to treasure for years to come.

Sue Davey Exhibition
Sue Davey creates unique pictures using her machine needle, like a pen, and tattoo thread onto a ‘watercolour pencilled’ fabric background, finishing with hand embroidery and beads.
Amanda Hughes Exhibition
Amanda paints vibrant abstract art, exploring themes of 'Connection' with nature and with each other. Painting gives her so such joy and her intention is to communicate these feelings and energies to her audience through colourful marks and energetic, intertwining lines.
Joelle Joanne Willow Exhibition
Joelle is a talented willow weaving artist from Derbyshire and will be showing a range of decorative pieces and homeware.

Karen Herrick - Harlequin Arts
Inspired by faith, beauty in the ordinary and the power of nature to restore the soul, Karen's art is a celebration of story; each colour and stitch part of a narrative told through textiles.

Janet Cutts Exhibition
Janet is a watercolour artist from Elmton in North Derbyshire. She took up painting seriously during Covid. Now in her late seventies she enjoys visiting places and painting them when she gets back to her tiny studio in the garden.
Joelle Joanne Willow Exhibition
Joelle is a talented willow weaving artist from Derbyshire and will be showing a range of homeware.

Join us for a pop-up artisan fair in the beautiful surroundings of Derby Cathedral.

Jyoti Hawley (Crafty Glass) Exhibition
Jyoti is a designer and creator of decorative fused glass artwork, homeware and jewellery. Inspired by the natural world, flowers, trees and oceans are all captured in her work.
Sarah Perkins Exhibition
Sarah is a Derby based wildlife and pet portrait artist, creating commissioned artworks and original pieces inspired by the variety of nature. Also available are limited edition prints, cushions & greeting cards.
Beauty in Small Things
Jude Shore and Sharon O’Connell, both leading textile artists with The Derbyshire Makers, have taken over The Little Gallery for an installation titled “Beauty in Small Things”.

Linda Dent Mitchell at The Little Gallery
‘Serendipity’
For this exhibition Linda will be showing a range of paintings selected from a collection created during and post covid. There will also be a collection of new ‘never-been-seen-before’ prints on metal (aluminium) created specially for the show. She will also be exhibiting a small range of art gifts.
Frances Daunt at The Derbyshire Makers Gallery
Frances Daunt is an award-winning artist from Lea in Derbyshire. She paints animals in a variety of media, including her very popular map art.
Kimberley Macdonald at The Little Gallery
Kimberley MacDonald is an artist and ceramicist based in Derbyshire. Her ceramics are wheel thrown in stoneware and my paintings are mostly worked in acrylic or gouache. Louise Jannetta at The Little gallery
Combining traditional artistic practice with an endlessly inventive mind, Louise Jannetta creates an eclectic compendium of mixed media art. Her work is ever-changing and evolving, yet still constantly displaying her unique style and skill. Furthermore, she presents a strong sense of dedication in her work through the mass amount of intricate, time-consuming designs and her commitment to discovery through experimentation.
Fi Marks Exhibition in The Little Gallery
Fi Marks gives all women a voice through her art work. Her unique paintings from history, literature and the present day tell the universal stories of women who we will not forget.

Diana Green at The Little Gallery
'Painting nature with nature-
Artist Diana Green creates ethereal yet powerful portraits of our beautiful trees and their habitats, using natural pigments hand gathered and made into paint.'
Barbara Rose
The Little Gallery Exhibition
Barbara Rose uses predominantly reclaimed fabrics to make exclusive bags, featuring either appliqued or patchwork designs, and also to create detailed textile art collage pictures, often inspired by scenes in Derbyshire.

TDM Shop opens at Peak Village, Rowsley
We are opening a permanent shop at Peak Village, Rowsley.
Over 30 Derbyshire Makers will have their handmade products in the shop and there will be a rolling program of exhibitions in The Little Gallery, towards the rear of the shop.
Once the shop is open, we will be publishing a full programme of workshops and demo days
Parking is free and the centre is dog friendly.

Christmas Market at Peak Village
Over 30 Derbyshire Makers will be joining us for a fabulous Christmas Market at Peak Village, Rowsley
There will be jewellery, ceramics, art, textiles, soaps, printmakers, willow work… the list goes on!
Chat to the Makers and watch some give demonstrations at their stalls.

TDM Mini Christmas Market
We will have 10 of our very talented Makers for a mini Christmas Market at Peak Village, Rowsley to help launch their Christmas program of events.
As well as all the fab shopping, you also be able to enjoy food stalls, live music and other entertainment to kick start Christmas.

The Derbyshire Makers Shop at Peak Village
Following our successful summer pop-up shop at peak Village, we are back with a Winter Wonderland of gifts, art and homeware - just in time for all your gift needs this Christmas.
We will have a large selection of handcrafted goods from Makers based in Derbyshire, so if you are looking for special gift, beautiful handmade decorations or just a mug to drink your hot chocolate from this winter, TDM have everything you need!
TDM Pop-Up Shop
July and August (only)
Join us to browse beautiful and unique gifts and homeware, made by our talented artists and makers in Derbyshire.
We will be taking over a retail unit at Peak Village, Rowsley for 8 weeks during July and August and you will find a changing selection of our makers, selling their handmade gifts and art.
Peak Village is close to Chatsworth and has it’s own country park to walk in - so why not make a day of it and have lunch or afternoon tea in one of the lovely cafes on site too!
We will also be running workshops at the shop during this time - see our workshop page for more details.
Opening times: 10am-4pm daily (Late night on Thursday’s until 8pm - starting on 27th July and running through out August).

Derbyshire Open Arts 2023
TDM-The Derbyshire Makers are holding a joint exhibition (in The Brunel Room at The Whitworth, Darley Dale) as part of the Derbyshire Open Arts 2023 weekend.
The Artists and Makers taking part are:

An exhibition hosted by TDM and Peak Village, showcasing the work of local Derbyshire artists Diana Green, Andrea Hytch and Jude Shore.
Working with different disciplines, each artist demonstrates how creative ideas are explored, realised and given their unique form.

Spring Artisan Fair
Join us for an exciting weekend of art, craft and live music.
The Derbyshire Makers have joined forces with Peak Village, Rowsley to bring you unique, high quality handmade arts & crafts all made in our beautiful county of Derbyshire.
The artists will all be available to chat to and so, not only will you be able to buy their fabulous creations, but you will also be able to find out how they are made and what inspires the Makers.
Parking and entrance is FREE and there are cafes on site to refresh you after your busy shopping experience!
Why not make a day of it and go for a lovely walk in Chatsworth just down the road too.
