With over 130 Makers in our collective you will always find something special at one of our events.
All of our Makers and Artists are based in Derbyshire and their work is original and largely handmade.
We have jewellers, woodworkers, artists, textile artists, photographers, potters, glass artists, gin distillers…… and the list goes on.

Irene Brierton Exhibition
Irene’s fascination with nature and all manner of creatures from earliest childhood grew alongside a natural interest and talent for drawing.This almost inevitably led to her becoming a wildlife artist, the focus of her work a foregone conclusion. The Brown Hare, following some brilliant encounters has become a particular favourite.

Autumn Art and Craft Fair
Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Derby Cathedral for our Autumn Fair.
All our artists and Makers live and work in Derbyshire and produce amazing handcrafted products, ideal for gifts or to have in the home…. why not get ahead with presents for those “hard to buy for” people in your life!

Squiggly Sue Exhibition
Sue is a watercolour artist. She has experimented with other mediums in the past such as acrylics and oils but always come back to watercolours. She just loves the way they work - their transparency and also their unpredictability. Sue works quite spontaneously and loosely leaving the paint to its own thing.

David Entwisle Exhibtion
David is a woodturner and wood worker. His exhibition is an exploration of how the coloured stains, acrylics and metallic finishes he uses enhance the pieces he has turned on his lathe.

Frances Daunt Exhibition
Frances Daunt is an award winning Derbyshire artist who depicts wildlife using a variety of different media. She is particularly well known for her map art.



Joelle Joanne Willow Exhibition
Joelle is a talented willow weaving artist from Derbyshire and will be showing a range of decorative pieces and homeware.

Amanda Hughes Exhibition
Amanda paints vibrant abstract art, exploring themes of 'Connection' with nature and with each other. Painting gives her so such joy and her intention is to communicate these feelings and energies to her audience through colourful marks and energetic, intertwining lines.

Sue Davey Exhibition
Sue Davey creates unique pictures using her machine needle, like a pen, and tattoo thread onto a ‘watercolour pencilled’ fabric background, finishing with hand embroidery and beads.

Derbyshire Open Arts
Join twelve of The Derbyshire Makers at Peak Village for Derbyshire Open Arts 2025.
We will have a mix of artists, ceramicists, silversmiths, glassmakers, woodworkers and textile artists - all exhibiting their stunning work and allowing you the chance to see and chat to the artists and maybe treat yourself to a piece of art to treasure for years to come.

Kimberley MacDonald Exhibition
Kimberley is an artist and ceramicist living in Ashbourne, Derbyshire . Her paintings are usually worked in acrylic and feature brightly coloured modern folk florals. The ceramics are thrown on the potters wheel and are then decorated with the same colourful floral designs'

Janet Cutts Exhibition
Janet is a watercolour artist from Elmton in North Derbyshire. She took up painting seriously during Covid. Now in her late seventies she enjoys visiting places and painting them when she gets back to her tiny studio in the garden.

Jyoti Hawley (Crafty Glass) Exhibition
Jyoti is a designer and creator of decorative fused glass artwork, homeware and jewellery. Inspired by the natural world, flowers, trees and oceans are all captured in her work.

Sarah Perkins Exhibition
Sarah is a Derby based wildlife and pet portrait artist, creating commissioned artworks and original pieces inspired by the variety of nature. Also available are limited edition prints, cushions & greeting cards.

Beauty in Small Things
Jude Shore and Sharon O’Connell, both leading textile artists with The Derbyshire Makers, have taken over The Little Gallery for an installation titled “Beauty in Small Things”.

Linda Dent Mitchell at The Little Gallery
‘Serendipity’
For this exhibition Linda will be showing a range of paintings selected from a collection created during and post covid. There will also be a collection of new ‘never-been-seen-before’ prints on metal (aluminium) created specially for the show. She will also be exhibiting a small range of art gifts.

Frances Daunt is an award-winning artist from Lea in Derbyshire. She paints animals in a variety of media, including her very popular map art.
Kimberley Macdonald at The Little Gallery
Kimberley MacDonald is an artist and ceramicist based in Derbyshire. Her ceramics are wheel thrown in stoneware and my paintings are mostly worked in acrylic or gouache. The Little Gallery Exhibition
Barbara Rose uses predominantly reclaimed fabrics to make exclusive bags, featuring either appliqued or patchwork designs, and also to create detailed textile art collage pictures, often inspired by scenes in Derbyshire.
