Set Up Instructions:

The hours of trading are 10am until 4pm each day.

Please read the following very carefully and let us know if you have any further queries as soon as possible:

  • There is Wifi at the venue; we will provide the code on the day.

  • Refreshments are available from the cafe but you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks (please refrain from eating full meals in front of visitors - we have received negative feedback about this)

  • PLEASE remember to:

    • Bring along copies of your up-to-date, valid Public Liability Insurance documents on the day.

    • Bring some packaging materials for your products.

    • Bring a table covering as these are not provided.

    • Your business cards or contact information

    • Ideally a card reader if you have one (but there is a cash machine next to the Co-Op opposite the venue).

  • Each square represents 1 square foot and we kindly ask that you keep your products within your own area for safety reasons.

  • Your space is the table itself (approximately 6ft x 2ft) plus the space behind it - another 6ft x 2ft. Please exit your stall area to the right hand side where possible and keep this space clear for easy access/ escape.

  • For Health and Safety reasons please DO NOT put items on the floor in front of your stall - this will also ensure that visitors can get to your own and others' stalls easily and those in wheelchairs have easy access.

  • Please keep any additional items and boxes underneath or behind the table to avoid the risk of any trips and falls.

  • There is one chair per person. If anyone needs additional chairs, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • If anyone does not require a table, please let us know by email as soon as possible.

  • It will not be possible to affix items to the walls but there should be space behind the table for free standing banners.

  • For those who have requested power: stallholders will need to bring their own extension leads (these must also be PAT tested) and ensure that all electrical items are PAT tested. Please bring evidence of this on the day. The venue does not allow anyone to 'daisy chain' extension leads together.

  • You are welcome to bring machinery/ sewing machines/ looms etc to work on during the fair but please use the space available on or behind the table to do this and ensure that electrical items have been PAT tested.

  • You can arrive any time from 8.30am on the day to set up and we ask that all stalls are ready by 9.45am for the fair to start at 10am. We will be at The Whitworth Centre to direct you to your stall.

  • Please note that there are up to 25 stalls and so there may be some waiting until everyone has unloaded their vehicles; please be patient and help each other where you can. You can unload via the front entrance (there is a ramp). A trolley will be available but you might wish to bring your own to speed the process up if you have one.

  • Once unloaded, please park in the car park (at the far end of the car park if you can). There is normally a charge for parking, HOWEVER, The Whitworth Centre will supply us with an iPad for you to enter your registration number within 20 minutes to avoid a charge. We will try to check that everyone has entered their registration on the iPad provided but it is the stallholders responsibility and we cannot be held responsible if this has not been done. The Whitworth is a non-profit organisation so if you can support them by purchasing a drink or snack during the fair, this would be much appreciated.

  • We kindly request that you do not pack away your items until after 4pm when the fair closes to the public.

  • A caretaker will be on-site to lock/ unlock the rooms both morning and evening for two day events so that stallholders can leave their products - however, please note that items left are at your own risk.

  • The postcode for The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale, is DE42EQ but if you need assistance finding the venue, please email.

  • We hope that is all the information you need but if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
